
The First WeeksJune 11, 2012We opened officially on Friday, May 25 (come see us soon!) to a small crowd hungry for salted peanut butter cookies, black caraway chocolate shortbread, and Bloody Mary scones and, of couse, Stumptown Stubby’s (AKA caffeine crack). In between rain and sun, you all cleared us out of house and butter. It’s been great to finally be a real part of the Greenpoint community and to see many months of 16+ hour days lend itself to such a warm reception. Now that the store is open, we’ve had more time to experiment. New items we’ve come up with: Montina, spring onion and sage quiche; pistachio jam thumbprint cookies; and strawberry pie with vanilla crust (pictured). As the summer drags along, we’ll be rolling out more edible experiments. We may MAY just have a special ice cream sandwich in the works. You’ll have to keep checking back to find out more. |
