Last year, Erin was honored to be a LABA fellow at the 14th Street Y. LABA is a laboratory for Jewish culture in which classic texts inspire the creation of new art. LABA programming includes original theater productions, live events, gallery shows, salons, and performances for children and adults.

During a LABA session around Purim, Erin created a traditional with twist–apricot filling brightened up with orange zest and white chocolate-fig with earthy poppy seeds; her fellow fellows (and the Ovenly staff) loved the treats so much, Agatha and Erin created them as a special in the bakery. In that tradition, these buttery cookies will be available as a special for this holiday weekend. However, we know not everyone will be able to make it to the bakery this Saturday, so we’ve included theĀ Hamentaschen recipe here. We hope you enjoy!
