Dearest fans, thank you so much for all of your votes. We are absolutely honored that you chose us as the best new bakery in New York City for the 2013 Time Out Food & Drink Awards. It’s good feeling to know that you love our cookies so much. We’ll keep making them just for you!

You keep asking, and finally, FINALLY, we’re going to say yes.

That’s right. We’re going to give away all of our secrets. In fall 2014, that is.

It’s already been announced (see below), but we’ve signed a book deal with Harlequin. We can’t wait to get started and share our recipes with you.

Due to Sandy/Thanksgiving/Christmas/general running-a-small-business madness, we haven’t been able to keep up with the press we’ve received over the past few months (or really writing anything here).

In case you were curious, we’ve had some pretty darn awesome reviews, accolades, awards, and more thrown our way. We feel honored and excited. Thank you for all of your support!

TimeOut New York’s Best place for Thanksgiving Pie 2012 .

It’s happened again. Ovenly was named to another “best of” list. This time, Time Out New York has named our Montego Bay Bar one of the city’s top 10 desserts of all of 2012. We couldn’t be more excited (and thanks, Mama Patinkin, for the inspiration for this wonderful recipe).

This came out a few weeks ago and we (blush) forgot to tell you about it. Even in its infancy, Gothamist chose Ovenly as one of the places one just hasto visit while in Greenpoint. We couldn’t agree more!

Last week, as we took a little July 4th break and went upstate to be in nature and swim in hidden lakes, our phones alerted us to some big news: Ovenly was rated by the Village Voice as one of the top ten pastry shops in the city and Eater nominated our chocolate chip cookie as the #1 best new baked treat in New York.

We couldn’t be more excited.

Our newest press is this wonderful write up from the Wall Street Journal. Erin grew up in Chicago and was addicted to Garrett’s as a kid, so owning a company listed alongside Garrett’s is a real honor.

When we dropped off samples to Florence Fabricant at the New York Times building, we didn’t know what to expect. It turns out, neither did she. We gladly fed her and she gladly gobbled up all the Ovenly she could. The aftermath is this very sweet article about our opening.
