Dark chocolate stout cake with a salted dark chocolate pudding buttercream. Uh, yum.

This black-as-night bittersweet treat is one of our most beloved and indulgent. It’s made with cocoa noir and Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate Stout, then smothered and filled with our dark chocolate pudding buttercream. Not too sweet with hints of malt.

I wish I liked it...

I got the sliced cake from one of their locations. It looked so good via Instagram but when actually tasting it... I was really surprised by the 'unique' flavour - especially how dense it was. Perhaps the chocolate stout gave it the unique flavour but definitely NOT what I expected... Sorry to say but it's surprising to see that people actually like the flavour... I think it didn't help that it was stored in the fridgerator of the cafe from the day before.

so disappointed :(

I'm only passing on my comments as a small business owner, not to simply complain. I am a huge chocolate lover, grew up eating blackout cake in New Jersey. Unfortunately I was unable to finish a single piece of your cake and wound up throwing it away. I was SO disappointed, I was so looking forward to that!

Randy

Thank you for your feedback, Randy. We are sorry to hear our Blackout Cake was not what you expected. This is our own take on the legendary Ebingers Cake. In honor of its history as a Brooklyn staple, our cake is made with Brooklyn Brewery's Chocolate Stout. Our star ingredient gives the cake a slightly bitter and more unique flavor. We understand it is not made for every palate. We recommend trying one of our other cake flavors next time! And thank you for your support.

Delicious

Arrived on time, was delicious, and I will order again. 🥰 Pro tip, put leftovers in the microwave for 5 seconds and it’s sooo gooey! 😋
