Good cake, but didn't arrive on time.

The review title kinda says it all. I ordered the cake for my wife's birthday, but the cake didn't arrive until the following day, depriving is of it being part of the celebration. (ordering it early would have spoiled the surprise) I know ovenly doesn't own the shipping company and UPS is most likely at fault, but I still wish there was more of a guarantee that we could get the cake on the date asked for. I'd pay extra for that service.

Very dense, Especially the Buttercream

I sampled the celebration cake on Tuesday, January 11 and while it was certainly tasty, it was much more dense than the cake I've had at the Manhattan Bakery two years ago. Not sure if it's due to the shipping, but the cake was very dense. Especially the buttercream. It was way too thick and laid out like a brick in my stomach for about 24 hours.

Both me and my girlfriend agreed the cake would have been better as a four layer cake, splitting the current layers into two (half) with smaller amount of frosting throughout.
